The Altona Forest Stewardship Committee is a group of people made up of representatives from the TRCA, City of Pickering, Pickering Naturalists, Ministry of the Environment, student representatives and local residents. The function of the committee is to act as stewards for Altona Forest, make recommendations to the TRCA about repairs, rehabilitation and projects within the forest which enhance the environment and allow the public to enjoy this beautiful and unique forest. |
